Today was a good day.

I was able to hang out with another one of my best friends, Jew-lee. I'm really glad I got to spend this time with her and even got to know her on a much deeper level because she's been such an integral part of my college life.

Today I learned just how strong Jew-lee is. I won't go into detail because it's not my story to tell, but it made me see her in a different light, not a bad one, just different.

A lot of people go through a lot of things, and we don't always know what they're going through most days... or most lifetimes, so it doesn't hurt to show them a little kindness.

Today was a good day. I met up with some important people in my life. One of those important people is Ford. We don't often get to hangout if I'm being honest, but our friendship is one I value with high regard. He's the kind of person who places other people's needs before his own, but never sacrifices his beliefs in the process. I look up to him a lot, but more than that I love him as a best friend, a brother even. I hope we can spend more time just talking about psychology, the good old days, and our opinions on different topics. Thank you for being my best friend, Ford.

Trigger warning : Self Harm

For most of the day today I felt a phantom pain where my self harm scars are. They're not sharply painful; the pain is more dull and uncomfortable than anything. I don't really know how I feel about it. I thought this was something that happened only when I was particularly sad or going through something, however, today was an overall good day and yet I still felt it. Odd sensation, this one.

On the bright side, I went out with my sister today. We had one of our lil infamous sister trips. Had fun, did shenanigans, bought useless trinkets, and had a heart 2 heart. The good outweighed the bad today. Plus, the time with my sister got the phantom pain out of my system long enough for me to be happy.

I wish for more afternoons like this.

Kermit once sang, "someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection, the lovers, the dreamers, and me". I don't really know what he meant by that. I don't know what the whole song is about if I'm being honest but I like the thought that someday we will find the rainbow connection, whatever that may be.
